Speed-Warning bei VMware Workstation

Bei VMware Workstation, sowie auch bei VMware Server kann es beim Start einer Virtual Machine eine Warning Message zum Processor-Speed geben:

VMware Workstation has measured your CPU speed to be 1995 MHz, but Windows reports that it is 2000 MHz. This may mean that your computer has a power-saving feature that varies the processor speed. As a result, the clock in your virtual machine may run too fast or too slow.

VMware meint im Support KB 1227 folgendes dazu: This problem occurs on some host computers that use Intel SpeedStep or other similar power-saving technologies that vary the processor speed.

Um das Problem zu beheben muss nur in der config.ini folgendes angepasst werden:

C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware Workstation\config.ini 
host.cpukHz = "1700000"
host.noTSC = "TRUE"
ptsc.noTSC = "TRUE"

    Der eingegebene Wert sollte einfach gleich oder niedriger als der echte Takt sein, dieses Eingabe verhindert das. Der Wert ist Realtakt*1000, bei nem 3200 Prozzi kann z.b. 3150000 eingegeben werden um Schwankungen abzufangen
